# Catalogist

> Catalogist is a Shopify app for bulk editing products safely. Merchants filter products, preview the before and after of every change, apply it, and can undo any edit in one click for 12 months, on every plan including Free. It also schedules sales that undo themselves when they end, scans catalog health, drafts AI fixes, and tests how AI assistants answer shoppers' buying questions (AI Visibility).

- Platform: Shopify app, runs inside the Shopify admin. Listed on the Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/catalogist-dev
- Undo: every bulk edit is recorded in History and can be undone in one click for 12 months after it was made, on every plan. If a product changed after the edit, undo skips it rather than overwrite newer data.
- Preview: every edit shows each product's real before and after values before anything is applied. After applying, Catalogist reads the products back from Shopify to confirm what saved.
- Fields: prices, compare-at prices, inventory per location, tags, titles, status, vendor, product type, SEO, descriptions, metafields and collections. CSV import and export. Edits can be described in plain English.
- Scheduled sales (Pro): percent or amount off, start and end times in the store's time zone; at the end the sale is undone automatically.
- Catalog Health: scores product descriptions, titles, search listings, categories, images, image alt text, SKUs and barcodes, and opens fixes in the bulk editor.
- AI Visibility: asks AI assistants the buying questions shoppers ask and reports how often they name the store, who they name instead, and what they get wrong, with a ranked fix plan.
- Permissions: products, inventory and locations only. No access to customers or orders. Adds no code to the storefront theme.

Pricing (USD, billed through Shopify):

- Free: $0. Up to 250 products per edit, preview, History and 12-month undo, weekly snapshots, Catalog Health scan, 20 AI credits to start.
- Pro: $25/month or $250/year, 14-day free trial. No product limit per edit, scheduled sales, 300 AI credits a month, priority support.
- AI Visibility: $149/month or $1,490/year. Everything in Pro plus AI Visibility tests, scheduled re-tests with email alerts and a shareable report.
- Founding price: stores that start a paid plan by 31 December 2026 keep these prices for as long as they stay subscribed. From 1 January 2027, new merchants pay $39/month or $390/year for Pro and $199/month or $1,990/year for AI Visibility.
